Falsevoice was the pioneer in discovering her, them came Sweden, then Korea (Starking), then Ellen, then Oprah. She (Oprah) was so overwhelmed by her voice and was so touched by her life story so she indorsed her to legendary songwriter/producer David Foster, and the rest was history.
She made her debut on the international concert stage in Foster’s May 23 tribute concert, Hitman: David Foster and Friends, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. She performed a medley of songs from The Bodyguard as well as her standard, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”
that was about her discovery in usa..of course..my friend falsevoice started all..he is the very first charice´s supporter..uploading charice´s videos on youtube…as I said guys…you can read all charice´s history on some channels..so trust me..ellen did not discovered charice,david foster take her there…cheers and I hope all the buzz was solved..cheers and best regards..a fan from greece
guys,charice was discovered for david foster and his sister almost at the same time with oprah,,david foster was the one taking charice to ellen show..then..because schedule.she was on oprah later…even charice went to a celine dion´s concert with david foster,but by the time..they did not meet yet..so to much people does not know that…first was david foster and sister,when oprah call david, david already discovered charice..you can see all that in oprah´s charice history..cheers

You said it well about Ellen not wanting to ruin it for Charice. But it is important for her image and reputation that Charice is not made to say any thing that is incorrect as it would make her appear to be a liar, which I am sure she is not.
I fully agree with blockbinder’s comments that if she is made to state incorrect facts, then it would make her appear to be liar, and that is what her fans worldwide would not want. Simply put, it is debatable who first discovered her. If you want to be technical, then it would be falsevoice, who posted her videos on youtube. For her fans, it is more important she is allowed to answer truthfully to any interview question so that she will not be accused of being a liar.
And the person responsible for the correct handling of this matter should be the manager handling her international career.
It is important to Charice’s career that the facts are stated correctly. Her fans worldwide would not want her image and her reputation to be marred by incorrect statement of facts. If there is a clear cut question as to when is the first time she performed in USA , she should say it is the Ellen DeGeneres show and not for whatever unknown reason, made to say that it was on Oprah’s show. Her fans only want the best for her, and that is why the facts must be stated correctly.
