Map of important sites of interest in the old Queen Anne high school, Dunfermline, with an emphasis on the mid to late 1980s, the school’s finest years. (Coincidentally, the ones during which I was a pupil.) Following that period, it went into a period of decline, which culminated in its demolition in 2003.
While compiling the notes, I was surprised to learn just how many of my memories of high school are to do with Freaky Philp – a skinny, red-headed and quite violent boy who terrified me in earlier years but turned out to be a pretty okay guy. I wonder what he’s up to these days…
You can see it on Google maps here. Oddly, while the satellite view still shows the school before it was demolished, the street view shows the new housing estate that was built in the past few years.
