i need some good scrapbooking ideas, im making my brother a scrapbook of us for christmas?

Question by Natalie: i need some good scrapbooking ideas, im making my brother a scrapbook of us for christmas?
we’re very close, and theres not a picture of me as a child without him in it. he’s two years older then me. i thought we have all of these old pictures of us sitting around, why not put something together for the two of us to remember, cry, & laugh at! there’s no bettter gift then one from the heart. so, i was hoping i could get some good ideas to make it a good one. any ideas?

Do it by years. So if you can remember which pictures occured in what year, then do your book pages by years. So if 1975 was a fun year full of memories then pick the best pictures and make it a front and back page titled 1975. Then if you have a couple good memories of say…1979 then do just a front page of that titled 1979 and so one until you have the number of pages you desire. (Like a year book kinda) you can even do like a special occasion page where you have a fun picture but not a specific year to represent it then do a page or 2 at the end where these go ( like at the end of a yearbook where there are just random pictures.) What a great Christmas gift you have going! Good luck!

Can you give me some new scrapbooking embellishment ideas?

Category : Scrapbooking

Question by Strawberry: Can you give me some new scrapbooking embellishment ideas?
Looking to add some jazz to my scrapbook pages but don’t want to use the typical embellishments like brads and simple stickers. Anyone have scrapbooking embellishment ideas that are unique and fun?

Best answer:

Answer by dancindharma
You should check out paper quilling for scrapbooking embellishments…you can make some really cool quilled patterns and its not all that expensive to buy the materials (although not available in most stores, so you have to get online.) Quilling is a great way to embellish your scrapbooks. If you don’t know what it is, its basically coiling thin strips of paper into fun designs like quilled flowers, animals, letters, etc. I discovered it not too long ago and I think its pretty cool and definitely a neat paper embellishment for scrapbooks; plus its pretty unique! You can check it out at http://www.LearnQuilling.com and watch the free video lesson on quilling to see what I mean. Enjoy your scrapbooking! Hope that gives you a good idea to use for your pages!
