So this is a story that involved my girlfriend being at the Library in Denver. I was not there but I think that the story is worth repeating for its humor factor. She normally goes to the Denver Public library often to work or to meet people and have small meetings.
This was an ordinary day of work for her and the library was quite busy. She had a hard time trying to find a seat that would allow a for a meeting there but finally got settled and found a spot that was conducive to small talk and business.
Going back and forth with the business meeting that she was trying to have she was also trying to be quite and keep the library a place where you can work in peace. She has mentioned before the main librarian is a very stern character. He plays the part and looks like he wants the library prim and proper and kept at tip top shape.
He walks around the Library with supreme authority and is always making sure that everything is going on very well and nobody is being loud or obnoxious. His presence alone commands authority and he gets that authority from what I am told. I have seen him a few times myself by my girlfriend is much more apt to be found at the library doing her work than I am at any given time.
So she told me about the Orgasm Ringtone that went off at the Public Library. I said what? That sounds very inappropriate and I wanted to know more.
She said that the Library had gone very quiet and everyone was intently working. During this deep period of silence all of a sudden there was a disturbance.
An extremely loud orgasm began from a phone ring tone. UHHH OHHHH UUHHHHHH OHHHH UHHHHH OHHH UHHHHH OOHHHHH. This repeated over and over and over again.
Everyone in the Library had to stop and try to find out where this noise was coming from. After mumbling around under the front desk the head librarian comes up with a phone. Him, being a major authority figure of the Library started to turn deeper and deeper shades of red as the ringtone continued. This was not his phone so it just kept ringing and ringing. By this time the whole library had joined into the fun and was all smiles as Mr. Authority was having a problem turning the ringer off on the phone.
My girlfriend said that the Librarians ringtone helped changed the mood of the Library to a little bit lighter. After a minute he finally got it stopped and it quieted down. To add to the humor the owner of the phone came up to claim it after about 5 minutes had gone by.
To everyone’s surprise a young woman in her early 20′s claimed the phone with little to no shame. In fact the only one more embarrassed than her was the librarian himself. It made for a funny story none the less.
I rarely do business at the library but if I do I try to find a table off the corner of the library somewhere to find some privacy.
