Previously on A long time ago Season 1 Episode 11 “Fruit on the Poisonous Tree”, Emma finds herself enlisted with a dejected Sidney to help uncover evidence which may expose Regina’s corrupt negotiations and Mary Margaret is constantly on the secretly meet David in an attempt to figure out an approach to fulfill their love while backstory of Snow White’s pops King Leopold is revealed along with his encounter with a Genie trapped within a magic lamp – that grants Leopold three wishes but warns the King to become careful what he wants for.
On this week’s occurrence title “Skin Deep”, After Mr. Gold’s house is scammed out, Emma keeps an in close proximity eye on him when it looks like he wants to find the criminal and dole away some vigilante justice since payback, and Valentine’s Day confirms Mary Margaret, Ruby and Ashley (Jessy Schram, “Falling Skies”) which has a girls’ night out. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land which was, Belle (Emilie de Ravin, “Lost”) agrees with a fateful deal to give up her freedom in order to save her town from the horrors with the Ogre war.
Emma Swan knows how to keep up herself. She’s a 28-year-old bail bonds collector who’s been on her own ever since she was abandoned as a baby. But when the son she gave up years ago finds the woman, everything will change. Henry is 10 years old now and in needy need of Emma’s guide. Henry believes that Emma actually comes from an alternate world… and is Prince Enchanting and Snow White’s missing out on daughter.
According to his ebook of fairytales, they sent her away to protect her from the Unpleasant Queen’s curse, which trapped the fairytale world forever, frozen in time. Of course Emma isn’t going to believe a word, but when she brings Henry to Storybrooke, she finds herself fascinated by this unusual boy and also his strange New Great britain town. Concerned for Henry, she decides to stay for a while, but she soon suspects that Storybrooke is in excess of it seems.
It’s a place where magic may be forgotten, but is still powerfully close… where fairytale characters usually are alive, even though they do not remember who they were in the past – including the Evil Queen who is now Henry’s foster mother. The epic battle in the future of all worlds is usually beginning, but for good in order to win, Emma will have to just accept her destiny and struggle like hell.
On the wedding day time of Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) along with Prince Charming (Wayne) (Joshua Dallas), the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) happens and delivers an ominous threat about a powerful curse she intends release an upon them. Some time later, a pregnant Snow White is worried about the curse and visits Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), who issues a prophecy which the Queen’s curse will take all of them someplace terrible where you will see no happy endings. He also reveals that will Snow White’s unborn child, Emma, will return when she actually is 28 years old for you to rescue them, thus beginning the final fight with the Queen. On advice from this Blue Fairy, Geppetto (Tony Amendola) and Pinocchio fashion a wardrobe from a magical tree which allows one person to avoid the Queen’s curse.
